The Banquet Steward is responsible for the organization, care, maintenance, flow and storage of all banquet equipment including but not limited to glassware, silverware, china, chafing dishes, griddles, heat lamps, water and coffee pitchers, creamers and any other equipment used in banquet events.

• The banquet steward will sort silverware and glassware by types and store them in a safe designated area.
• The banquet steward will cover all plates with plastic metro protectors in designated areas
• Clean and polish chafing dishes, griddles and heat lamps as needed for events.
• Organize and maintain clean and polished water/coffee pitchers and store in designated area for events
• Move necessary equipment out of the banquet kitchen to storage areas as needed.

Equipment Pulling and Flow

• Read and understand the needs for weekly BEO's for upcoming events
• Pull the necessary equipment needed (per BEO) for the upcoming events and bring to the designated room.
• Assist with the flow of the equipment to the dishwashing area. After equipment is clean, he/she will collect and move to their designated area of storage.
• The banquet steward will make sure all equipment is always properly sorted and store in designated areas.
• The banquet steward will help the kitchen with the transporting of Hot Boxes, Speed Racks as needed.

Cleaning of Service Areas and Banquet Rooms

• The banquet steward will help with cleaning of the service areas used during the event.
• The banquet steward will help with the maintenance and cleaning of Coffee Urns, Banquet Reach in coolers, Banquet Ice Rooms.
• Assist with cleanup following events including but not limited to throwing out trash as needed after the event, vacuum event rooms as needed.
• The banquet steward will help the banquet department with any other project needed in the operation.
