Job Summary & Responsibilities The Field Service Engineer will reside in the Phoenix, AZ area and be responsible for Installation, Repair and Maintenance of Onto Innovation products (on-site with customer). Job duties are often performed in confined areas of a clean room environment. Diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex inspection or metrology equipment. Preventive Maintenance, Hardware and Applications support. Approve operational quality of system equipment. Supports customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. This job may include any aspect of field support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PC’s, and networking/ wireless networking. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. Shift hours: Varied 5x8 or 4x10, with weekends and some after-hours work. Possible evening coverage may evolve. Travel requirement of 30%, Domestic and International. Qualifications Prefer 3 years of direct experience in Inspection and/or Metrology or equivalent semiconductor capital equipment. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Engineering/Automation /Mechatronics or related preferred. Ability to read and interpret schematics. Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environment or independently.
