Job Summary
The Manager of FP&A is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations, including advisement and buildout of investment plans, monitoring the company finances, and producing financial reports. They will work closely with management to develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve the company’s long-term objectives. In-depth analytical skills will be critical to help executives understand the organization's financial health for improved decision-making.
The ideal candidate will be an individual with a great understanding of accounting principles, ERP systems, month-end close processes and who has a high skillset in operating Microsoft Excel. The Financial Reporting Manager will oversee the monthly and quarterly reporting process and will work closely with other team members to create accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting and analysis in accordance with GAAP, ProForma, and Lender requirements. This individual will challenge the status quo, bring forward innovative ideas, and drive them to fruition with their strong critical thinking skills alongside an openness and creative approach to new ways of tackling objectives.
Responsibilities
• Provide accurate and reliable financial analysis and reporting to management, private equity management team, and lenders on a timely basis
• Support, build trust and relationships, and advise the executive team and respective functional areas, including COGS, Sales, Marketing, R&D, and G&A
• Develop long-range planning, budget, forecast, and actuals analysis
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly management reporting packages, including but not limited to Board presentations
• Track, maintain, forecast, and report on company headcount
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies within Finance and other operational areas
• Serve as co-systems admin for Planful (budgeting/forecasting software) and carry out administrative duties, including but not limited to user and security management, successful data refreshes, monthly forecasting model prep, maintaining data loads, and troubleshooting
• Advanced problem-solving and complex analysis
• Manage, develop, and mentor team member(s)
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, and/or other equivalent experience
• 8 experience years’ experience in hands-on finance, accounting, and reporting responsibilities
• 2 years’ experience with managing, leading, and developing a team
• Proficient in Advanced Excel and MS Office experience
• Extensive knowledge of a variety of ERP applications
• NetSuite, preferred
• Planful (formerly Host Analytics), preferred
• Strong expectation of self-accountability and dependability
• Possess and exemplify strategic and inquisitive mindset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and relationship-building skills; ability to inform and influence at all levels of the organization
• Ability to manage competing priorities and consistently beat deadlines
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Must be able to work in a collaborative and respectful manner with all levels within the organization, from senior management to operating personnel
• Possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented

• Track record of continuous improvement of current functions and responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of GAAP reporting requirements
