We’re seeking a well-rounded and experienced systems / network engineer with Azure cloud experience. The successful System Engineer will be a key part in building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and will play a key role in defining the IT Infrastructure for the future of our company. An ideal System Engineer would also have experience with security and networking, both in the cloud and in a data center. You would be part of a three-person infrastructure / security team supporting over 200 workstations Windows and Linux, 100 Intune endpoints for remote workers and a handful of business-critical applications, both vendor supplied and custom in house. You would serve as level 2/3 support within our information security and infrastructure team.

The position will report to the Senior Director of Information Security and Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for this role would be split between project work, completing level 2/3 infrastructure tickets and optimization / maintenance of the current infrastructure.

• Responsible for working the support/help desk daily.
• Support day-to-day operations of Information Technology, inclusive of infrastructure, software, hardware, networks, and security
• Assist technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies
• Inspect the use of infrastructure assets and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
• Facilitate communication with internal team members during systems deployments/upgrades, updates, and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years experience in an IT position
• Must be located in Orlando, Florida and be able and willing to work with our team at OneRail HQ
• Good Knowledge of network security and data privacy principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
• Knowledge or experience with Cloud environments (AWS, Google, or Azure)
• Technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Google Workspace.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams
• Ability to shift focus, multi-task, and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment
• Results-oriented with a focus on quality execution and delivery

A successful System Engineer will have a solid understanding of the following technologies:

• Azure cloud
• Azure cloud networking
• Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure AD, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange online
• Microsoft SQL server
• Microsoft AD and Azure AD connect environments
• Next gen stateful firewalls
• SAN's and enterprise storage
• Veeam and Azure recovery services vaults
• Domain service (AD, DNS, DHCP)
• IIS web servers
• Linux administration
• SAML, OIDC
• Automation
• Devops (Azure Devops, Git)

The successful System Engineer will have:

• An associate level or higher certification from one of the major industry vendors E.g., Network , Security , Cisco CCNA, AZ-700, AZ-900, Microsoft Azure administrator associate, VMware VCP. Preference will be given to candidates with current certifications.
• Must have hands on experience with VMware, Azure and networking.
