Location: Maumee, OH or Birmingham, AL

OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE ROLE

Thisis a full-time role reporting to our Director, Advisor Operations. For thisrole, you’ll ideally live in or near Maumee (Toledo), OH or Birmingham, AL. Typicalhours for this role are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday; on occasion there is a need towork additional hours on evenings and weekends throughout the year.

Themission of the Operations Associate is to serve our advisors with excellenceand manage administrative functions. The Operations Associate will be a keyasset to serving our advisors and enabling our firm to continue its growthpath.

OneAscentis currently seeking an Operations Associate who will bear primaryresponsibility for processing requests for the Advisors that we serve. Theywill produce a high level of accuracy even when completing tasks that some mayconsider repetitive. Responsibilities assigned can vary from week to week basedon the needs of business. The most important responsibility of the OperationsAssociate is to ensure that tasks and projects are completed with a high levelof efficiency, confidentiality, accuracy, flexibility, and positivity tosupport the initiatives of the business. This position requires a carefulattention to detail paired with a strong desire to deliver high qualitycustomer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish accounts for clients, including account transfers
  • Process transactions (e.g. trading, wires, journals) 
  • Compile and maintain back office records and activities 
  • Assist with certain audit functions related to billing and compliance 
  • Work closely with advisors in maintaining client accounts 
  • Work to streamline procedures to maximize compliance and minimize unnecessary procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in investment management and/or financial advisory services is a plus 
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics 
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous, accurate, organized, able to set priorities
  • Self-starter, takes initiative
  • Team player, with ability to take specific direction
  • Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company enviornment
  • Experience with any of the following software or custodial platforms is a plus: Salesforce, Schwab Institutional, TD Ameritrade, Fidelity, Black Diamond, or Orion
