Medical Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:
As a Medical Accounts Receivable associate, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing accounts to ensure accurate and timely filing of insurance claims. You will be researching unpaid and denied insurance claims to ensure account resolution, verifying accurate documentation, and initiating appeals or refile claims for all denials. As a part of this role, you will act as internal resource for staff questions, communicate with the business office manager regarding any issues and communicate with patients regarding balances and insurance benefits.
Medical Accounts Receivable Requirements:
At Gastro Health Partners we require the employee to be able to perform the duties of this job including opening filing cabinets, ability to sit for long periods of time, and lifting office products up to 20 lbs. The employee should be flexible; patient focused, show initiative, as well as maintains a high standard of confidentiality. The candidate for this position must have computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office and must be able to effectively communicate with other both verbally and in writing.
