Primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. Also, working closely with the users of our network to identify potential issues and fix existing problems.

To be a successful candidate, you will need to have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. You will also need to be able to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including Wireless Access Points, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Controllers and VPNs . A deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols is essential, along with experience with managing these types of resources in a hybrid cloud setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
• Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
• Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures for the company’s internal and cloud resources.
• Maintaining routing on switching, edge SD-WAN, and Firewall infrastructure
• Implementing, maintaining, and documenting secure network configurations in a Microsoft Azure IaaS environment
• Installing new switches and routers
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
• Replacing faulty network hardware components when required
• Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
• Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems.
• Coordinating computer network access and use.
• Designing, configuring, and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software to ensure compliance with Bank Information Security and Disaster Recovery policies
• Configuring secure tunnels between our internal and external network partners
• Implementing network encryption and key management
• Installing, maintaining, and monitoring secure site-to-site and site-to-partner connectivity
• Analysis of relevant logging from SIEM and other sources to identify problems and opportunities for improvement to performance and security

Required Skills/Education:

• At least 5 years of experience implementing and administering IP networks and firewalls
• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols
• Understanding impact of change to firewall policy configuration using Palo Alto firewall technology
• In-depth understanding of IP routing
• Strong customer service skills, demonstrated through leadership and strategic thinking, with the ability to work and manage multiple customer issues simultaneously.
• Update diagrams, documentation and monitoring tools of our IP networks, as well as upstream providers and peers
• Understanding and experience with administering networking in a Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS environment
• Tracking inventory of networking hardware and software to maintain appropriate vendor support levels
• Ability to work with leadership to identify network related solutions to business problems
• Ability to administer Aruba Networks switching, Wireless LAN using Mobility Master, and ClearPass NAC
