What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice Aide position at OnCare Home Health & Hospice?
OnCare Hospice is Hiring!
Our Hospice Aides Will:
- Have autonomy and flexibility in managing their schedule.
- Utilize varying skills as a member of the clinical team as well as the community relations team.
- Develop meaningful, effective, and professional relationships with communities, families, and patients.
- Provide patients assistance with personal care including, but not limited to, baths, skin care, back rubs, oral hygiene, hair care, dressing, meal assistance, and light housekeeping.
- Assist in supporting the patient’s psychosocial wellbeing through companionship.
- Assess and report on patient’s condition and significant changes to the RN Care Manager.
- Assist with community relations events and activities including Vitals Clinics, seasonal activities, education sessions, meet and greets, etc
Our Hospice Aides Have:
- An active state-required CNA certification.
- 1 years of experience working as a CNA in home health or hospice.
- The ability to work with little direct supervision.
- Ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and fellow team members.
- An active Driver's License with a reliable vehicle, insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
- The ability to assist residents with limited mobility, lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs.
- The ability to provide a calm manner when in a patient’s home.
