On Time Ambulance is Hiring a Human Resources Director Near Roselle, NJ

Description

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of all policies and procedures relating to employment and practices of On Time Ambulance, On Time Transport, and On Time Billing. HR Director will oversee the Manager and the department, support business needs and ensure proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. Experience in managing people. Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies within the department. Responsible for the development of the You in Motion pillar.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  2. Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements required policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resources compliance and strategy needs.
  3. Administers, or oversees the administration of, human resources programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and staff morale; 
  4. Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
  5. Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends, including review of key reports and metrics from the organization’s human resources information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  6. Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices as required to maintain compliance.
  7. Maintains current knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate needed changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  8. Develops and implements departmental budget. 
  9. Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
  10. Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances and other issues;
  11. Train, coach and support managers to navigate evaluation, training, promotion, discipline, termination and other HR issues that may arise;
  12. Collaborate with managers in facilitation of performance evaluations;
  13. Maintain and manage payroll process, including hours submission, direct deposit entries, garnishments and court orders;
  14. Performs benefits administration, including change reporting, approving invoices for payment, benefit waiver completion; Open Enrollment and communicating benefits information to employees;
  15. Confidentially conduct investigations, maintain records and represent the company at hearings; 
  16. Oversee onboarding and orientation to all new staff members and ensure orientations are standardized and effective;
  17. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless assistance;
  18. Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  1. Demonstrated work experience with a minimum of 7 years of HR Business Partner/Generalist experience across a range of competencies, HR Director or HR Executive level preferred;
  2. Current PHR or SPHR credential required;
  3. Demonstrated organizational leadership and decision-making capability at a senior management level in a collaborative manner;
  4. In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices;
  5. Knowledge of HR systems and databases, knowledge of Paylocity preferred
  6. Experience with Human Resource metrics; 
  7. Benefits Administration experience;
  8. Excellent organizational skills; 
  9. Excellent verbal communications skills required;
  10. Excellent written documentation (promptness, accuracy, thoroughness, and legibility) skills required; 
  11. Excellent (or established) inter-personal relationship building and employee coaching skills; 
  12. Intermediate or advanced expertise with Microsoft Products, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; 
  13. Working knowledge of EMS systems/private ambulance and medical transportation systems preferred but not required; 
  14. Ability to teach skills to others;
