For more information, please visit solera.com. The Role The Software Engineering Manager will lead a team of Software Engineers that will be working on Professional Services projects at Omnitracs. They will be responsible for assuring the team is fully staffed and equipped with the proper training and tools to complete the projects to our customers’ requirements. This role will manage the teammates reporting to them, as well as participate in completing projects. They will also lead project scoping and assignment, as well as communicate issues to other departments or the customer to facilitate project completion. What You’ll Do Collaborates with team members within and outside of the Professional Services group, including customers. Teach, mentor, grow, and provide advice to direct reports. Play a central role in the production of work for the team, while assuring they have the training and tools necessary to meet customer requirements. Responsible for independently leading requirements gathering from both internal and external customers Coordinates with functional owners and customers to translate ideas and high-level specifications into new or enhanced integration solutions Must quickly define the scope of work and level of effort required to deliver the proposed solution Responsible for documenting, prototyping, designing, developing, and deploying complex solutions using JavaScript, Vue.js, and .NET technologies – both front-end workflows and back-end integrations Must be able to communicate advanced technical concepts verbally and in writing to both technical peers and non-technical audiences like customer executives Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for Omnitracs integrations What You’ll Bring 3 years of hands-on development and coding experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js is a plus!) 8 years of hands-on development and coding experience in any coding language; experience with end-to-end enterprise level applications such as front-end apps, server and database; architecture, scalability and reliability concepts. 2 years leading software engineering team(s). Advanced/Expert level skills in modern JavaScript, .NET Framework, and C#. Hands-on experience consuming web services and working with SQL-based databases.
