Job Description

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Team. The Human Resources Coordinator provides exceptional customer service for hotel associates as the first point of contact for associate questions. Additionally, the Human Resources Coordinator will assist with the recruitment processes including: scheduling and conducting interviews and collaborating directly with the SSC Team. As a driver of Omni culture, the Human Resources Coordinator is expected to provide a warm greeting and environment for all associates in the Associate Services Center.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and phone inquiries, as well as inquiries from Associates and applicants who enter the office.
  • Provides welcoming and hospitable reception to all associates upon entrance to the ASC offices.
  • Maintains an orderly work area to ensure complete comfort of the client.
  • Monitors and maintains, ASC bulletin boards, cafeteria holiday decoration program and other postings as appropriate.
  • Support the planning and execution of associate events.
  • Provides administrative and technical support to the HR Team.
  • Responsible for special projects as directed by the HR Team.
  • Files and maintains all Associate records, ensuring compliance with HR SOPs and legal requirements.
  • Tracking and following up with leaders for completion of scheduled interviews with new candidates.
  • Prepares memos and other correspondence requested by the HR Team in a timely manner.
  • Supports the HR Team with preparations for All In New Hire Orientation Packets.
  • Prepares monthly training and events calendar, daily Associate Communication sheet.
  • Updates various logs and reports such as training logs and compliance tracking.
  • Maintains adequate par level for New Hire Orientation Packets, Benefits Orientation, and other recurring meetings.
  • Collaborate with all departments on associate / recruiting needs.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the HR Team.

Qualifications

  • Customer service/administrative experience
  • Minimum of a two-year Associates degree in hospitality, human resources, or business administration
  • Highly motivated self-starter focused on quality, organization, guest service and teamwork.
  • Hands on, able to multitask and guest service focused.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills; specifically with Microsoft Office suite. Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Microsoft Publisher experience is a plus.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced high pressure work environment while executing delegated tasks and assignments.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in conversational Spanish is preferred.
  • Prior Hotel experience preferred.

ENVIRONMENT and POSITION ANALYSIS

  • Lift/carry and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance. Sit and utilize computers/telephones for an extended period of time. Walk when needed for ASC sponsored and planned events.
