Job Description

Aquatic instructor will create a curriculum and lead groups through various levels and types of yoga practice. Will utilize the beach for early morning yoga classes with our Guests, Property Owners, Local Community, and Associates that utlizie Omni's Health and Fitness Center.

Responsibilities

• Enthusiastic about group exercise classes and enjoy creating and delivering new, fresh and innovative routines• Confident and professional, reporting on-time with a positive attitude and a passion to motivate others• A professional who is collaborative and a flexible leader in and out of the studio• Plan routines, choose appropriate music, and choose different movements for each set of muscles, depending on participants' capabilities and limitations• Instruct participants in maintaining exertion levels in order to maximize benefits from exercise routines.• Plan appropriate physical education programs to promote development of participants' physical attributes and social skills.• Teach individual to participants through instruction and demonstration, utilizing knowledge of sports techniques and of participants' physical capabilities• Maintains a safe and clean environment within the Fitness Center• Maintains all required certifications• Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, kinesiology and anatomy• Full understanding of all exercise equipment and proper operations• Good communication skills and ability to instruct and teach• Work independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age. 

• In addition to the above, the following would also be preferred: Current certifications in the following formats (e.g. Zumba, Pilates, Spinning, Aqua) Minimum of one year of experience actively leading successful group exercise classes

• Must possess current CPR/AED certification. (or become certified within 90 days through Omni internal class)
• Must be able lift 50-60 pounds occasionally and 30-40 pouds repeatedly
• Must be able to hear, smell, have good or corrected vision and a good sense of balance
• Associate must be able to communicate verbally to our guests and able to multi task
