Job Details for RP Machines Operator:

• Schedule: 7AM-3:30PM Unless otherwise discussed with the hiring manager.
• $500 dollar sign-on bonus.

Job Responsibilities for RP Machines Operator:

• Perform operations, as assigned, and directed, to set up and operate production machine tools such as continuous tube and corrugating machines (RP-Rotary Process) to draw, form, weld and corrugate into helical or annular flexible metal hose in accordance with schedules, specifications detail drawings, established methods, procedures, and workload priorities.
• Work involves a primary assignment of limited setup and operation on highly repetitive specifications such as FGP (flexible gas product) or operating an assigned number of machines with the setup performed by others or performed under the direction or assistance of (RP) Machine Tool Operator A.
• Tools and equipment include digital caliper, micrometer, microscope, voltage meter, torque wrench, programmable controllers, high pressure test regulators, hydro-compressor, timing strobe light, gas shielded arc welders, engine lathe, drill press, pedestal grinder, milling machine, powered forklift, overhead bridge crane and assorted portable power and hand tools.
• Record setup data on RP Process setup sheet.
• Remove and replace forming dies, sizing rollers and drive belts in accordance with setup specifications.
• Butt weld or splice start piece to coil stock, set haul off speeds and welding controls.
• Cut sample weld joint and examine under microscope.
• Run work in process in accordance with scheduled work order.
• Postproduction data to inventory usage report.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repair and adjustments to equipment.
