Essential Functions:

• Acts as in-charge or leads in audits, review, and compilation engagements, including providing feedback, reviewing workpapers and financial statements; provides work direction and prepares performance evaluations of staff on engagements.
• Prepares and reviews projections and completes other complex accounting special projects, conducts research as required and forms conclusions to be reviewed by appropriate team members (e.g. Principal, Manager, Associates).
• Manages engagement to meet deliverable deadlines; identifies roadblocks and understands critical milestones to meet client service expectations.
• Possesses an understanding of the client's business and industry (e.g. competitors, trends and key customers); recognizes, anticipates and resolves client issues and makes recommendations
• Delegates properly based on risk, engagement status, and staff development opportunities, ensuring that team members have the growth opportunities to advance to the next level.
• Markets Firm services to existing and potential clients; meets business development goals
• Actively participates in client meetings and audit planning efforts.
• Manages, trains, coaches and may be a Career Advisor to staff; prepares performance evaluations
• Meets productivity and efficiency standards (billable hours).

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 4 or more years of accounting experience
• CPA certification
• Experience and skills in coaching, mentoring, and providing work direction to staff.
• Well-rounded knowledge of accounting standards
• Solid, working knowledge of audit software programs (Pro Systems fx Engagement, Microsoft Office)
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical abilities to identify exceptions
• Demonstrated marketing, business development skills
• Well-rounded knowledge of accounting standards
