About the Role: 

The Sr Director of Creative Production and Operations oversees the overarching Creative Marketing Program Management and Creative Production for all contents from photo, video, social. This position sets the standards for creative services across all content & platform spaces. This role will be synchronizing activities across various brand functions to ensure effective implementation of brand strategies and defining integration points with other cross-functional partners and brand divisions as the brand scales and expands globally. This position requires the individual to be a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with exceptional strategic thinking, communication and technical skills.

This role will report to the VP of Creative. You are responsible for supporting day-to-day project governance, external agency relationship, vendor/supplier management, asset management and creative budget maintenance. You will lead a team of a Content Producer and a Creative Operation manager and work closely with the VP of Creative in optimizing processes cross-functionally.

  • Leadership in Management & Planning for Content Production and Creative Operations; the work flow and prioritization decision maker of the creative organization
  • Oversee development of training and mentoring content production and creative operations team
  • Responsible for all creative resourcing, contract negotiations and handling of all budgeting and assessment of financials; full creative budget responsibility lies with this role
  • A business Ops partner to cross functional leads

Creative Operations 

  • Creative Process Governance
  • Partner with VP of Creative on optimizing internal and external creative resources and infrastructure by understanding;
    • Types of work performed by all creative internal & external creative and production resources
    • Volume of work and projects
    • Tier of work - as defined by level of strategic impact and level of complexity to develop and execute
    • Estimated and actual time spent on projects at task level
    • Estimated and actual cost to develop and execute creative projects
  • Maintain and grow project management processes and procedures that meet departmental objectives and goals.
  • Managing agency relationships from RFPs, scoping and vendor costing, and budgeting
  • Partner with Cross-functional teams for planning and resourcing
  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with all internal departments including marketing teams, R&D teams, technology teams, as well as industry and vendor partners
  • Collaborate with the Chief of Operations and his team on maintaining consistent time-tracking procedures for all NPD process
  • Oversee the development and implementation of future workflow processes to ensure quality delivery and consistency of experience across all teams
  • Define the most effective processes and procedures for interactions between creative operations, marketing, creative and technology teams

Cotent Production

  • Partner with VP of Creative on upleveling content production and talent resources
  • Partner with VP of Creative in internalizing creative production from heavy agency dependency
  • Produce all photography and video shoots for brand development and maintenance
  • Manage the Concept Production team within servicing the Creative, Digital, and Marketing departments
  • Structure and develop processes and timelines for all print and video short and all usages for print imagery and video content
  • Structure and develop processes and timelines for all print and video shoots and all usages for print imagery and video content
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to build brand systems from a contractual and legal perspective
  • Create a budget tracking system to manage and ensure the team stays within budget
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising team and PR on window executions and events ensuring all assets executed in a timely manner and within contractual parameters
  • Overseeing and coordination all photo and video productions
  • Handle international rights/CMS tracking
  • Lead Asset management

About You:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience as management lead for creative operations and content production required; 5 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Willing to work high strategic level as well as hand-on approach to projects as needed
  • Experience with in-house and agency environments that have a heavy production environment (product, digital, production, broadcast, post)
  • Goal oriented, success in managing through ambiguity and change in a fast paced, complex environment
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills – have the ability to synthesize, develop and present clear and concise recommendations
  • Well versed in short-term and long-range planning and execution of a portfolio of projects
  • Experience working with external partners to develop and negotiate contracts, project scopes and budgets
  • Has experience in working closely with finance, creatives and marketing services
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, managing, developing and motivating
