Annual Salary: $62,921.25 Full State Employee Benefits

Basic Purpose:

Under administrative direction of Finance management; plans, organizes, coordinates, directs, and supervises all phases of the agency’s fiscal operations within the Finance Division of the Department of Human Services. Positions assigned to the classification are located in the Finance Division of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.

Job responsibilities:

• Manages budget, coordinates budgeting activities, and develops budget work program in accordance with Agency's budget policies and guidelines.
• Reviews budget funding request, validates grants award and source of funding, and approves budget request.
• Performs budget variance analysis and budget estimate - reviews budget to actual expenditure and recommends budget action plans as needed.
• Reviews and approves expenditures and obligations - reviews and approves purchase requisitions and eligible expenditures.
• Researches federal and state legislation to determine fiscal impact to current procedures and or budget funding.
• Establishes and implements proper budget controls and business processes in accordance to budget policies and State Statute as well as Federal regulatory.
• Performs related work as required and assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of the curriculum requirements for a bachelor's degree in business or public administration, or a closely related field; and five (5) years of experience in professional accounting, or closely related work; including two (2) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity;
OR
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
