Assistant Teacher

To assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities. To promote the health, nutrition and education of the children and to attend to their safety and welfare. Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state and/or agency policies and procedures.

Required Education and Experience:

• General and Initial State Certificate or higher degree, OR
• DCYF equivalent education

The position is 40 hours per week for 48 weeks per year with a starting salary of $16.38 per hour. If you do not have the required education and experience we hire at a provisional rate of $15.60 per hour while we train you and/or you obtain the required education!
