AutoNation USA Charlotte is Hiring a BDC Vehicle Acquisition Specialist Near Charlotte, NC

Overview:

Position Overview

The BDC Vehicle Acquisition Specialist is trained to boost dealership inventory by actively seeking vehicles outside the AutoNation Customer Network. They support our Well Buy Your Car (WBYC) program by reaching out to private sellers using various resources like third-party websites, lead sources, and our own database. This role involves engaging with customers and dealership teams over the phone to build relationships and set appointments for onsite appraisals. The Specialist primarily contacts prospects selling their vehicles online and helps facilitate the We'll Buy Your Car Same-Day Payment process.

Our Specialists ensure a smooth customer experience by managing expectations and maintaining communication throughout the WBYC process. They aim to honor our promise of a quick check within an hour by coordinating dealership visits for customers, ensuring top-notch service during transactions.

Who would I interact with?

This position interacts daily with Customers, BDC Associates, the BDC Manager, dealership Sales Associates and Managers, General Managers, Market and Region leadership, and other AutoNation support staff.

The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist's day-to-day tasks include:

  • Make outbound calls/emails to schedule appointments with prospects and follow up consistently.
  • Address objections from prospects and review vehicle condition reports.
  • Make offers, close sales, and engage customers to increase business.
  • Hand over potential customers to the sales team and collaborate with management to assess inventory needs.
  • Complete other assigned duties as needed.

What are the requirements for this job?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • 1-3 years of Sales Experience preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the customer, including: days, evenings, Saturdays, and some holidays
  • Computer literate, with the capability to handle moving between various internet-based software programs simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and follow-up skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Complete all physical job requirements with or without accommodation.
  • Effectively communicate orally, providing detailed instructions and information.
  • Hear, understand, and distinguish speech and sounds, including phone messages and alarms.
  • Maintain clear vision up to 20 inches, including computer use.
  • Work primarily in a stationary position at a desk, using computer, keyboard, and telephone.
