Odyssey House is seeking a full-time Facilities Specialist

Job Duties:

  • Assist in maintenance, upkeep and renovations including HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical and refuse removal. 
  • Assist in building code inspections and licensure compliance, including City, County and State Fire and Health inspections and Joint Commission. 
  • All grounds maintenance, upkeep and services.
  • Reports to Director of Facilities. Position is non-exempt.

Requirements

Experience/Skills required

Preferred to have: This position offers the right candidate a flexible work schedule in an environment of collaboration with other facilities managers at other locations. We are seeking a person with a passion for repairs and maintenance, yard maintenance, painting and generally making our facility a pleasant place to live for our residents. Experience in repairs, plumbing, HVAC, yard and building maintenance, construction, and electrical work preferred. Position requires lifting and the ability to maneuver on ladders and in confined spaces.

Required:

  • Willingness and ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Must have valid drivers license and clean driving history
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • First Aid and CPR Certification (available at Odyssey House)
  • Must comply with annual TB tests, flu and Covid immunization
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen (for federally illegal substances) and be willing to undergo drug screenings as a condition of employment.
  • Must meet employment eligibility
  • Must be able to work variable shifts as needed
