The Custodial & Facilities Specialist will earn between $19.00 - $21.00 per hour, depending on experience. Your role as a Custodial & Facilities Specialist is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional workspace for our team members. Your responsibilities include:
Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensuring cleanliness and order in offices, cubicles, six conference rooms, ten restrooms, a fitness room and shared areas. Following established cleaning standards and use of a checklist to maintain compliance.
Custodial Tasks: Performing tasks like dusting, sweeping, mopping cement and tile floors, vacuuming carpeted areas with a backpack vacuum, washing windows and mirrors, trash removal, replacing liners, and occasionally scrubbing walls and baseboards.
Stocking and Supplies: Maintaining stock and supplies in three copy rooms, three break rooms, and ten restrooms. Coordinating service appointments and transportation for five company vehicles.
Support Functions: Providing backup support to the Assistant Facilities Manager for security and HVAC system after regular hours. Operating cleaning equipment safely and effectively, preparing cleaning chemicals, running errands, and assisting with special projects as directed.
Reporting and Maintenance: Reporting maintenance or repair needs promptly to management, conducting safety equipment checks, assisting with furniture and equipment movement, and helping with snow and debris removal as required.
Work Schedule: Onsite Monday - Friday, 3:00 am - 12:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
Qualifications for the Custodial & Facilities Specialist include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years of experience in office cleaning or a related field, a strong understanding of cleaning products, tools, and equipment, excellent communication skills, and a professional demeanor. Basic proficiency in technology, such as email, internet usage, and texting, is required, as well as proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
The Custodial & Facilities Specialist role necessitates the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, the capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly, good vision, hearing, and manual dexterity. Strong multitasking and prioritization skills are essential, along with the ability to listen and effectively respond to feedback and suggestions from staff.
