Maintenance/Custodian Worker Job Description
We are hiring a maintenance or custodian worker to join our team. To do well in this role, it is preferred that you have previous experience in custodian or maintenance, be highly skilled with various cleaning tools, hand and power tools, and be able to read and follow instructions.
Maintenance and/or Custodian Worker Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance.
- Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
- Conduct various custodian duties such as light cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, and mopping.
Maintenance and/or Custodian Worker Requirements:
- Preferred maintenance or custodian experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). (Preferred)
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, ladders, saws, drills, and wrenches.
- Experience performing routine maintenance.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to move up and down stair cases
- Ability to complete light and deep cleaning duties.
- Strong organizational and follow up skills.
- Eye for detail.
- Professional presentation and attitude.
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
- Strong time management skills.
