Salary: $70-80K
In-office position, once you've worked there for a few months there will be remote options, but this is not a hybrid or remote job.
8AM-5PM schedule with flexibility to take half days on Friday if work is completed.
Reports directly to the Controller.
As Project Accountant, you will:

• Provide end-to-end Contract Management from project creation to close-out within Deltek Vision.
• Prepare invoice package containing draft and final invoices for all projects, including all applicable backup.
• Perform all necessary Accounts Payable (AP) duties, including but not limited to coding, sending out for review approvals, scanning to accounting system, researching vendor payment inquiries, and processing 1099's annually.
• Process and reconcile credit card transactions through expense reports.
• Monitor receivables and support Partners/Project Managers with collections.
• Assist senior management in various ad-hoc analysis as needed.
• Identify opportunities and areas for improvement, and offer suggestions for procedures, processes, and/or tools that might improve efficiency and productivity.
• Additional accounting responsibilities as needed.
• Backup coverage for the front office.

Qualifications Required:

• 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years of experience within an Architecture, Engineering or Construction firm.
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business, or similar field.
• Extensive experience with detailed project tracking, client commitments, and invoicing.
• Familiarity with AIA contracts and add service agreements.
• Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint experience preferred. Other similar accounting software experience acceptable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to communicate effectively with Project Managers, Senior Level Management, and clients.

Must be able to put together a project financial statement so that they don't see problems at billing and go over budget.
Must know how to do their own expense reports and be able to delegate work properly. They need to understand some things can't be controlled- being flexible will be a big benefit. Must be a strong communicator, hoping for someone with a positive attitude. Easy going manager - wants someone who understands the world isn't black and white.
