Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in the oversight of all day-to-day operational activities of the department 
• Maintains personal connections with guests, clients and community organizations to encourage guest loyalty
• Assists in supervising team members with efforts relating to recruitment, orientation, training, scheduling, performance management, counseling and other team member relations issues 
• Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform any position in the department
• Prepares foods according to specifications and quality standards established in recipes and procedures 
• Prepares equipment and food based on forecasted needs and events 
• Maintains working knowledge of all kitchen machinery operations
• Maintains updated knowledge related to current menu options, preparation methods and techniques, and ingredients 
• Maintains inventory controls and dates all incoming products
• Assists in monitoring and upholding policies and procedures for safety of guests and team members
• Assists in maintaining cleanliness throughout the department 
• Assists team members and other departments as needed to contribute to operational efficiency
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership
