Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our growing team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of a vertically integrated cannabis company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, manufacturing, and leadership, with a deep understanding of the cannabis industry. Duties to include:

Responsibilities:

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

· Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

· Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making by senior management.

· Coordinate and manage the annual budgeting process, including forecasting revenue and expenses.

· Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.

· Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.

· Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the company's financial health and competitiveness.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

· 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial manufacturing capacity.

· Thorough understanding of cost accounting, GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

· Experience working in the cannabis industry or a highly regulated industry is desirable.

· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

· Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Additional Requirements

· Must pass any and all required background checks

· Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

· Must possess valid driver's license

· Must be approved or applied for employee credential through OMMA by state deadline

· On-Site work location. This position can be based out of Stilwell, Tulsa, or Oklahoma City. Occasional travel to other company facilities located in Oklahoma.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
