We are a team of dedicated professionals who share a passion to work, live, and serve in the same communities where we do business. We are looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager, located at our LaGrange, Georgia office. Work from home flexibility is an option for the right candidate.

In this role, the Account Manager assists in the production of new accounts and the care of existing accounts. They will provide prompt, efficient, high-quality service in support of our customers.

Position Functions:

  • New business production based on outside/inside referrals
  • Overall account service, account rounding, and renewal process
  • Manage existing client and carrier relationships
  • Monitor account activity, changes in exposure, and revisions in coverage
  • Assist in ongoing risk evaluation of client exposures
  • Responsible for new and renewal business processes including gathering renewal data, completing applications, submissions, etc.; negotiate policy and payment terms, prepare proposals, participate in presentations
  • Issue binders, EOP, ID Cards, and insurance summaries
  • Billing functions including invoicing, reviewing accounts receivable statements, answering client billing questions, reconciling account differences, and making management aware of collection issues
  • May perform administrative functions such as maintaining files and suspense systems, handling mail
  • Order and review policies and may order endorsements for accuracy; reviews audits, experience rating modifications, and classifications
  • Communicate issues with both carrier and client to management
  • Participate in client/carrier meetings and assist as necessary
  • Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine; resolve questions and problems, refer issues to higher levels when necessary
  • Work under minimal supervision
  • Frequent written and spoken communications with professional content
  • Provide technical guidance to other staff and may coordinate workflow within the group

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be or become proficient in the use of agency management system (Epic) and follow agency standard operating procedures
  • Have 3-4 years experience and ability to apply advanced skills to assigned tasks and duties
  • Have the ability to see and understand the big picture
  • Be strategic yet very responsive and have a strong attention to detail
