The Director of Human Resources (HR) is responsible for providing both operational and strategic direction for the Human Resources department while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and policies. The Director of HR ensures the effective coordination and delivery of all Human Resource functions including talent acquisition, hiring and onboarding, workforce planning, benefits administration and compensation, performance management, employer-employee relations, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and workplace safety. The Director also provides proposals to identify, develop and implement HR and business-related programs.
This position ensures training, monitoring and operational initiatives are implemented which secure compliance with ethical and legal business practices as well as regulatory and government agencies - local, state and federal.
The Director of HR also serves as the Corporate Compliance Officer.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business related field required. Master’s Degree a plus.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
5 years previous experience in Human Resources;
2 years of Human Resources management experience;
Healthcare experience preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP preferred. Valid Texas Driver’s License as travel between campuses is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local employment laws and regulatory compliance requirements. Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration; knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of personnel management; ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with staff and management; excellent organizational skills with emphasis on detail and ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
