Overview:
The Energy Storage and Conversion Manufacturing Group in the Electrification Section of the Energy Science and Technology Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct research on electrode dispersion formulation chemistry, electrode coating technology, multilayer electrode architecture design, roll-to-roll (R2R) manufacturing science, next-generation cell designs, advanced battery testing and diagnostics, and cell post-mortem analysis. The successful candidate will also be expected to write high impact papers, conduct data analysis, and work with advanced battery professionals. This position resides in the Department of Energy (DOE) Battery Manufacturing R&D Facility (BMF) at ORNL.

Applicants cannot have received their Ph.D. more than five years prior to the date of application and must complete all degree requirements before starting their appointment. The appointment length will be up to 24 months with the potential for extension. Initial appointments and extensions are subject to performance and availability of funding.
This position will remain open for a minimum of 5 days after which it will close when a qualified candidate is identified and/or hired.
