Thyssen Mining has immediate positions available for Mechanics at various sites in the US including Tennessee. Some positions will have potential for longer-term contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Provide a safe work environment for yourself and others
• Minimum 3 years experience.
• Troubleshoot and repair underground mining equipment including
  • Sandvik jumbos, bolters, LHDs and trucks.
  • Caterpillar/Elphinstone trucks and LHDs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various components and circuits
• Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Maintain a positive attitude and show a willingness to learn
• Must be able to work shift work and travel
• Current MSHA Underground Experienced Miner Training is a plus
• You must have your own tools

Schedule:

• Rotating shift work, typical 20 days on 10 days off depending on project requirements
• 10 to 12 hour shifts; Day shift and night shift
