Job Description
Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, pharmacy technicians will assit pharmacist in preparation, distribution of medications and maintaining drug inventory. Adheres to Federal, State and local laws and other regulatory requirements regarding pharacy and inistitutional practice. Performs related work rotating between satellites and shifts.
- Under pharmacist supervision, will rotate assignments, and tours to meet departmental needs
- Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail wihin specified time period
- Able to communicate effectively (orally and in writing)
Minimum Qualifications
Effective April 25, 2021, all new hires into the title of Pharmacy Technician must be licensed to practice as a
Registered Pharmacy Technician by the NYSED.
Department Preferences
- High school diploma or eqivelent. College courses desirable but nt required
- Certification of Pharmacy Technician Cerification Board (PTCB)
- Registered with NYSED
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Outlook Word and Excel
