As a Database Administrator, you will provide technical expertise across both technical and non-technical components. You will develop an understanding of data and information needs, identify solutions and improve the quality of service while providing support through the logical and physical design of databases. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of the company databases and guarantee the data is stored securely and efficiently. You'll perform database recovery and back-up and resolve database performance and capacity issues.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for day-to-day activities regarding the upkeep and availability of all SQL servers in multiple environments through patching, upgrading and troubleshooting activities
• Responsible for SQL backup and restore functions including scheduled tests of DR availability, including knowledge of SQL restoration and availability technologies such as Clustering, Replication, Always-On, etc
• Contributes to data refresh process and execution to lower environments
• Ensures availability, optimization, and usability of all SQL environments
• Ensures database security through policy adherence, monitoring and internal auditing
• Database performance and capacity planning to support migration of on-premises SQL databases to Azure SQL
• Provision, monitor, and decommission On-Prem and Azure SQL databases
• Automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, improve infrastructure for better scalability, and SQL query performance tuning
• Setup and maintain SSIS / SSRS servers and work closely with data warehouse and ETL processes
• On call duties as needed including after-hours support

• Languages - TSQL
• Scripting – Powershell
• Working knowledge in Vmware
• Knowledge in Linux is a plus
