What we offer: - $36.95/hr - Shifts Monday to Friday - Pager Pay - Call in Allowance - Annual Tool Allowance - Boot Allowance - Pension - Benefits PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions and repairing as required; following operators manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering drawings Maintain accurate equipment repair / modification documentation in collaboration with the engineering department. Support outside technicians / vendors when facilitating repairs and installations. Assist in the integration, start-up and debug of automated equipment. Follow safety standards set forth by the Company and Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) programs. Maintain inventory of critical spare parts for primary pieces of production equipment Help identify and correct safety hazards and unsafe workplace behaviors. Notifies department team leader when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, etc. Performs related duties as assigned. Must be available for on-call rotation on a regular / scheduled basis. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to stand 6-8 hours Must be able to lift 50 lbs. maximum Frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Frequent bending and lifting Much of the work will be in a normal manufacturing environment. On occasion you may be called in to help trouble shoot and repair a down piece of equipment. Some assignments may require extended periods of time. Potential travel for training may be required. Overtime will be required as well as working off shift hours. COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Significant knowledge relating to pneumatic and hydraulic systems Strong understanding of electric motors, gearboxes, and general drive systems Fabrication related experience i.e. the ability to fabricate small jigs, fixtures, material racking, carts, work benches, etc. using standard machine shop related equipment Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T General knowledge of servo motors and motion control systems General measurement and mathematical skills Self-directed Strong organizational skills Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions. Ability to work at heights.
