Nuvia Dental Implant Center, a growing dental implant center, is looking for a Database Administrator to join our team. We provide implants and full mouth restorations to our patients, changing their lives. An exceptional patient experience for every patient is our top priority.As a Database Administrator, you have a crucial role in the success of Nuvia. You are responsible for developing the company’s central database, creating the Master Data Management (MDM) discipline, and empowering the leadership and all other SML MKRS with the business intelligence (BI) they need to perform in their roles. The ultimate goal for everyone at Nuvia is to provide an exceptional patient experience or support the patient facing teams who do so. Hours are full time, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and monitor the company databases and maintain and optimize their security
• Manage database access
• Respond to calls or emails from company employees regarding lost data or other technical defects and troubleshoot problems accordingly. 
• Perform routine updates and backups to enhance storage capacity or malware detection. 
• Use API’s to extract and transform data onto/within the Nuvia environment.
• Coordinate with the IT department and other data professionals to find ways to enhance company databases
• Communicate with employees addressing current technical issues and providing instructions on using databases effectively.
• Learn the full business model and recommend work and data flows to create efficient and effective storage, access, and utilization of data from the central database 
• Help design and and develop the central database 
• Keep the central database up-to-date with business requirements
• Install, upgrade, and manage database applications

Requirements:

• Be available during regular working hours (Monday- Friday from 8am-5pm), averaging 40 hours a week. 
• Familiarity with database queries
• Knowledge of database design and theories
• Ability to work with data architects and other IT specialist to set up, maintain and monitor data networks
• Knowledge of database structure languages, such as SQL or SQL/PSM
• Familiarity with database management best practices including storage procedures
• Knowledge of IT security best practices
• Excellent attention to detail
• Complex problem-solving and critical thinking
• Ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms
• Good multitasking abilities
• Excellent interpersonal communication
• Proactive growth mindset

Results:

• All company data is easily accessed, proactively managed, and updated based on acceptable industry standards 
• A full MDM is developed to include all company data throughout Nuvia’s entire technology stack 
• HIPAA and other compliance and regulatory requirements are adhered to with exactness
• All stakeholders gain confidence that their data is accurate
• Output in each department improves and is ultimately optimized based on their impacted demand and supply chains as they are supplied with the leading, trending, and lagging data required
