Job Description: Under direction, administers all company employee programs to include health, welfare, retirement, and ancillary benefits. Assists with planning, scheduling and procedural changes related to benefits administration. Responsible for Workday benefits system administration and resolving employee benefit issues. •Conducts new hire orientation •Processes new hire and midyear elections, and necessary payroll adjustments •Assists with benefit eligibility and employee benefit related questions •Maintains employee confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA compliance •Assist with benefit surveys •Assist with the reconciliation of all benefits accounts and billing •Reviews, audits, tests, implements and communicates information for open enrollment activities •Monitors Workday inbox and shared benefits email and responds as necessary •Review and process provider error, termination and claim reports •Completes Retiree and Cobra participants’ open enrollment •Assists with annual audits, plans testing, and other ad hoc audit activities and other duties as assigned •Assists employees with 401(k) and pension plan questions, including research related to contributions, account access, loans, hardships, QDROs, etc. •Assists with annual pension funding notice distribution and other required communication •Processes 401(k) import/export files •Coordinates and assists with various wellness activities, or initiatives, such as annual flu clinic, health fairs, mobile mammogram and any other events •Assist in preparation with the Annual Benefit Statement • Prepares Retirement and LTD packets and coordinates with other HR areas •Assists with creating or updating Summary Plan Descriptions and other benefit communications •Works closely with broker to update any plan documents to ensure plan is compliant Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in HR, Accounting, or related discipline preferred Benefits or HR certification preferred Minimum of 1 year experience in Human Resources preferred Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and other software programs with a strong emphasis in Excel Experience with Workday system desirable Strong organizational and analytical skills to interpret regulations and procedures Excellent customer service-oriented attitude: must be able to work under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor Must present a high level of initiative with ability to work independently or collaboratively When a higher-level position exists candidates with greater qualifications may be considered for the position.
