The ideal candidate will seek fast-paced and innovative start-up environments and will be passionate about Nucamp social mission. Your role as a technical course developer will be to own a set of bootcamp curricula and develop the best learning experience for Nucamp students and instructors. You will be reporting to the Chief Product / Learning Officer, and work in partnership with the marketing, engineering, and operations teams. We’re looking for a high-energy product manager with a hands-on execution mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously improve Nucamp’s learning experience for students, instructors
    • Develop a deep understanding of the Nucamp’s bootcamp experience, by attending them firsthand and engaging directly with students, and instructors to gather feedback and implement improvement plans
    • Help ensure instructors are qualified, trained, and supported to deliver a quality experience
  • Build out the curriculum content: this is a hands-on job. You will scope the effort, write the exercises, video scripts, record the videos, post-produce and publish them to Nucamp’s LMS.
  • Partner with the operations and engineering teams to make sure the bootcamp learning experience can be delivered at scale and with high quality.
  • Recruit content creators and Nucamp Instructors to help implement new curricula and improve existing ones.

Qualifications:

  • Strong developer background with advanced knowledge of JavaScript Frameworks, NodeJS, Python, SQL, and Cloud Services
  • Curriculum designer and hands-on experience building technical courses: experience writing coding lessons and instructions; Experience recording and producing code-centric videos (using Camtasia or equivalent)
  • Experience working with learning management systems (LMS)
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Empathy and customer centricity
  • Self-starter who can operate well in a collaborative team environment and adapt effectively to changing business priorities/strategies.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience managing tech communities
  • Worked as a Product Manager in a Coding Bootcamp, or attended a Coding Bootcamp
