Description

Provides laboratory technical support and assistance to engineers, technicians and others involved in bearing tests,evaluations, and analysis in support of the Technical Center's mission and objectives.

Responsibilities

45% 1. Prepares and maintains test equipment, including the running of bearing tests and interprets the results.35% 2. Analyzes bearings/bearing components returned from the customer/field. Measures various physical propertiesand characteristics.05% 3. Prepares and maintains measuring equipment in good working order.05% 4. Designs fixtures, assemblies and sets up special equipment and measuring devices and assists in purchasingthese devices.05% 5. Performs metallurgical and metrological analyses of bearing components.05% 6. Calibration of test and measuring equipment and general housekeeping of the lab area.

Qualifications

• - This job requires a minimum of a Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in a related field and 4 to 6 years of positionrelated experience; preferably 6 to 8 years of position-related experience
