NSDI is Hiring a Regional Admissions Recruiter Near San Diego, CA

FUNCTION

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the recruitment, review of eligibility requirements, and retentionof prospective students in various LearnMore campuses. They will implement and organize various recruitment campaigns and activities to attract students to a variety of LearnMore programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for implementing comprehensive recruitment campaigns to attract students into general and specially funded programs offered at LearnMore;
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of program policies, goals, and procedures;
  • Responsible for soliciting the involvement of staff and students in recruitment activities of LearnMore;
  • Answering telephone calls, responding to inquiries, and recruiting students in desired programs;
  • Assist prospective students with completing required eligibility applications and other forms;
  • Responsible for scheduling and organizing the activities of staff assigned to participate in student recruitment events and activities such as campus tours, tabling events, etc.;
  • Responsible for liaising with high schools, vocational training schools, and four-year colleges and universities to establish and maintain communication to facilitate the enrollment of students;
  • Prepares and conducts outreach to promote LearnMore through various outlets, including presentations, for high school groups, community organizations, faith-based groups, college fairs, and other events to encourage school enrollment;
  • Responsible for providing information to prospective students regarding curricula, student assistance programs, and student services;
  • Responsible for creating and conducting special exhibits at community events, high schools, adult schools, shopping malls, and civic events;
  • Assist with effective recruitment materials to publicize LearnMore programs;
  • Gather and analyze data and prepare descriptive, statistical, and evaluative reports related to student recruitment, as well as maintain accurate and complete records of important documents and data;
  • Effectively utilize standard office software applications to prepare correspondence, presentations, and reports related to recruitment;
  • Participate in professional conferences and meetings concerned with recruitment;
  • Responsible for providing guidance, advice, training, and work direction to other staff on matters related to recruitment and retention;
  • Responsible for providing excellent customer service, and
  • Responsible for performing other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Program Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to support and promote the NSDI and LearnMore mission and vision;
  • Possess at least an associate degree from an accredited college or university AND at least one year experience in student recruitment or promotion of student services programs supporting students in a vocational training program or other educational settings or a related field; OR a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years experience in student recruitment or promotion of student services programs supporting students in a vocational training program or other educational settings or a related field;
  • Possess recruitment techniques and basic research methods and principles;
  • Possess basic principles of public relations, publicity and marketing;
  • Thoroughly comprehend Admissions requirements and enrollment procedures of LearnMore and applicable funded programs;
  • Possess proper business English, punctuation, spelling, and grammatical usage
  • Possess an understanding of community organizations and resources;
  • Awareness of social, ethnic, and cultural characteristics of the LearnMore demographics;
  • Capabilities of computer applications, systems, and hardware common to a student recruitment office;
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and
  • Be exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.
