Engineering Intern

Position Overview:

Novelis in Warren, OH has an opportunity to participate in our on-site summer 2024 internship. The team is seeking an Engineering Intern that can join the team for approximately 12 weeks. The person in this role will have the opportunity to participate in relevant work, gain hands on industry experience, and report to the Engineering Leader.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
• Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate.
• Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer students majoring in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial, or related fields

Location Profile

Novelis’ Warren facility is located in northeast Ohio— approximately an hour drive from Cleveland and an hour and a half from Pittsburgh. The facility built in 1965 applies coating to rolled aluminum beverage can sheet. The sheet is used to make aluminum beverage can lids for global soft drink beer and sparkling water brands. Warren showcases several high-end cultural venues including the Warren Community Amphitheater and Packard Music Hall. The 75 employee Warren team is active in the community promoting recycling, supporting STEM education, and offering a helping hand to local community shelters.
