Nova-Tech Engineering is seeking a full-time Senior Software Developer responsible for delivering solutions to solve and fulfill business needs. This position manages internal databases and utilizes technologies used by NTE. The Software Developer role operates within a collaborative Agile|Scrum team to foster innovation, utilize best practices, and strive for continuous improvement.

Summary of Core Responsibilities: 

• Develop, deploy, support, test, and document new and existing software.
• Manage internal PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases and give database direction.
• Utilize technologies used by Nova-Tech Engineering: JavaScript, Node.js, C#, Linux (Debian), IIS, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, CICD, Git, React.js, and .Net in addition to others.
• Innovate and write exceptional code.
• Expand knowledge and stay up to date on best practices, industry trends, and other relevant aspects of software development.
• Participate in code reviews and provide helpful feedback.
• Take initiative to fix issues that do not have a clear path to resolution.
• Adhere to Nova-Tech Engineering’s policies and procedures of protecting, using, and securing information.
• Assist with other tasks and projects as needed.

The Ideal Candidate Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or a two year degree with applicable experience.
• 5 years of software development experience or other applicable experience.
• Experience with the previously mentioned technologies are preferred, JavaScript, Node.js, and C# are ideal.
• Proven experience with JavaScript, Node.js, C#, Linux (Debian), IIS, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, CICD, Git, React.js, and .Net in addition to others.
• Advanced understanding of software principles, development concepts, and coding languages. 
• Proven experience of written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven experience with automated software testing methodology.
• Experience working in technology and fostering a technical aptitude with a strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to be a self-starter and a self-driven learner; ability to work with high independence | autonomously. 
• Respects individuals, appreciating diversity in experience, education, and organization level.
• Successfully handles multiple demands simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment.
