Summary:

Under broad administrative direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for helping to create and facilitate a robust selection process, by developing and implementing strategic recruiting plans as well as proven practices and programs to achieve desired staffing results. This role requires a thorough understanding of the assigned business/functional groups, client needs, specific talent pools and the innovation necessary to execute an aggressive talent acquisition strategy for high volume roles as well as providing proactive insights and action plans on critical roles and key markets. This leader needs to be both highly strategic and a strong operator of excellence. This role manages the full life-cycle process for select functional areas of staffing including the enhancement of existing job specification development, interviewing, and brokering candidates internally; extends offers and ensures all related activities associated with talent acquisition are processed appropriately.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all programs are designed and planned with the overall talent acquisition vision in mind.
  • Provides strategic recruiting expertise by staying abreast of industry trends, best practices, legal developments, technological advancements and benchmark comparisons, functions as subject matter expert on all business unit recruitment activities.
  • Researches and recommends practices and methods for improving the hiring process.
  • Assists with the implementation of a broad range of recruiting sourcing tools and services such as the creative and aggressive use of the Internet, networking, and research; understands how to mine candidates from various databases.
  • Establishes innovative candidate sourcing strategies, especially for hard-to-fill positions.
  • Leads and develops a passionate recruiting team and manages resources.
  • Ensures the recruiting team is following standard recruiting processes that will contribute to a diverse pool of quality candidates.
  • Partners with HR business partners and department heads in response to staffing requirements; responsible for developing and managing highly effective processes to attract and acquire high quality and best fit talent in a full range of positions.
  • Ensures that recruitment files are completed in accordance with compliance standards, which include completion of evaluations and appropriate documentation.
  • Assists with defining, tracking, and analyzing talent acquisition metrics and develop practical tracking and reporting methods to monitor and improve performance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience And Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business-related field required; master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of comprehensive recruiting experience demonstrating increased responsibility, with at least 3 years managing people leaders within talent acquisition or HR teams.
  • Healthcare recruiting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience creating talent acquisition-related strategies such as process improvement, strategic sourcing, diversity initiatives, etc. required.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of recruiting vehicles and sources such as internet, specific websites, and diversity sources.
  • Experience using innovative tools and techniques to find viable candidates.
  • Experience with recruiting software systems required. ICIMS recruiting software platform a plus.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:

  • Ability to manage recruiting staff through a large-scale recruitment initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage full-life cycle recruitment processes
  • Ability to establish and maintain credibility with all levels of management; ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Excellent consultative skills in recruiting support
  • Strong negotiation skills for interacting with management, candidates, and vendors
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others, implementing HR staffing processes, strategies, and programs
  • Knowledge of HR practices such as OFCCP, AAP, Recruitment, and Compensation
  • Strong conceptual thinking, analytical, and planning skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task; versatile Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to resolve associate issues effectively and efficiently
