Northwest Center is Hiring a Help Desk Support Near Renton, WA

Northwest Center (NWC) is now hiring Helpdesk Support to join our IT Department!

The Helpdesk Support shall be responsible for the service, support, and maintenance of all end-user systems and equipment within the NWC environment. They will also be responsible for providing technical support and solutions to employees for IT-related issues.

We are looking to hire a friendly and sociable individual interested in a hands-on technical role working with diverse kinds of technology. In this role, you will provide support in person as well as over the phone. Our IT team values growth within the department, and we are eager to train new employees in environmental-specific needs and budget for further training.

Location:Renton, WA

Schedule:Full-time Monday - Friday

Wage:$26.00 - $28.00 per hour 


Essential Duties:

  • Provide immediate troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance for all employee requests related to laptops, desktops, phones, and tablet-based systems. Additionally, provide immediate troubleshooting support to the IT team as a secondary backup support person.
  • Monitor and answer the helpdesk calls as the primary position / answering any helpdesk voicemail-generated tickets.
  • Assist in backing up data and other records retention activities.
  • Assist in IT projects
  • Provide expert technical support to the employees within the organization and serve as a broker to escalate difficult issues to outside services and expertise when needed.
  • Assist in ensuring smooth and efficient running of all IT systems in the organization with an uptime of 98% or higher
  • Continuously work to improve personal metrics of performance and levels of support. This includes interacting with the IT Director to design and build the network infrastructure to service the organization as a whole
  • Help to keep employees informed on the various technological changes that are taking place in the organization.
  • Providing support to employees at various locations throughout the Puget Sound region

Requirements:

  • 2 years in supporting computer systems and network support in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • In-depth computer & network hardware knowledge
  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems, software, and a 365 environment
  • Demonstratable skills such as customer interaction, strong team player skills, and the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally as well as in writing
  • Effectively demonstrates high expectations to create an environment to promote accountability and high-quality performance.
