NorthStone Country Club LLC is Hiring a Director of Food & Beverage Near Huntersville, NC

Description

Position Summary & Key Responsibilities

The Director of Food and Beverage leads all aspects of the Club’s food and beverage operations, with duties to include menu planning and design, establishing and ensuring preparation and presentation standards for all menu items, delivering a culture of remarkable service and guest satisfaction, and demonstrating an unwavering commitment to quality and safety standards. This highly visible position requires a hands-on leadership style and demands a high degree of creativity coupled with a proven track record of delivering financial results through budgeting, planning, and appropriate cost control measures. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and communication skills and will demonstrate a passion for food, wine, and the member experience. They will be expected to foster a culture of learning within an established team environment. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and plan ala carte, banquet, and beverage menus and daily specials.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the food & beverage department.
  • Serve as the face of the Club’s food & beverage operation by being visible and interactive during meal service.
  • Hire, train, supervise and motivate team members.
  • Interact enthusiastically with members, guests, and staff.
  • Develop and implement operating budgets and ensure daily best practices to achieve financial expectations and objectives.
  • Plan and promote member events and banquets.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards.

Requirements

Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum of ten (10) more years progressive experience in food and beverage management, with three of those years in a similar position in a fine dining and/or country club setting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Hospitality Management or Business.
  • Certified Club Manager (CCM) or in active pursuit of designation preferred.
  • Broad, multi-cultural culinary experience and skills are strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial management skills combined with a demonstrated track record of cost control and the ability to operate profitably.

Food & Beverage Managers, Food & Beverage FOH Staff, Head Chef, Culinary Staff. 

Compensation and Benefits

Salary is commensurate with experience, with compensation ranging between $80K and $90K plus a lucrative bonus program and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(K) with match (after one year), vacation and CMAA dues and continuing education.

NorthStone Country Club is located in Huntersville NC, 20 miles north of Charlotte in the rapidly growing Lake Norman region. The Club was founded as a for-profit, non-equity fully-private golf club in 1997 and is the centerpiece of the 590-acre NorthStone subdivision, featuring nearly 1,000 single-family homes with median values in excess of $600K. The Club features an 18-hole P.B. Dye golf course which encompasses nearly 224 acres of the development, and which is consistently regarded as one of the most challenging in the region.
