Responsibilities

• Evaluates, identifies, and makes changes in daily nursing activities, which include adjusting staff between services, use of resources and materials, priority setting, and patient services to enhance the services within the department. 
• Identifies and implements appropriate staffing and training needs to meed department needs. Coordinates with the Nurse Clinicians and Education Coordinator to develop and implement orientation of new employees and certification. 
• Assists in supervising nursing staff, including hiring recommendations, assignments, training, and counseling.
