The Director oversees the day-to-day management of a team, assigns work, sets direction, and plans and implements programs that meet campus needs and align with college strategic priorities. The position also participates in collaborative internal and external cross-functional initiatives and projects with campus leadership and other Human Resources Directors. The Director provides expertise, direction, consultation, guidance, and interpretation of policies to campus constituents and training on relevant matters. The Director manages collaborative endeavors with the campus constituents including, revision of programs, services, policies and procedures. The Director serves as an internal change agent who is adept in collaboration and developing and/or implementing innovative best practices, processes, systems and/or system changes, programs, policies and/or procedures that meet emerging business needs and ensure market competitiveness. The position ensures work is performed with a sense of urgency and with a customer-centric focus. The Director will oversee the payroll function and staff; work with iSolve or any other payroll technology the college adopts, as well as perform or direct payroll audit, ensure the college complies with tax requirements and develop and submit compensation proposals for the annual budget process. This position currently provides supervision to payroll and other Total Rewards employees.
