We are seeking a full-time or part-time Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team! This position is based at our Ashland Clinic location but will also support our Iron River Clinic location. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM.

The purpose of a Behavioral Health Therapist is to assess, diagnose and treat patients using individual, family, couples and/or group counseling and informed, appropriate referrals in order to assist the patient in achieving mutually agreed upon goals, leading to a more satisfying, emotionally and socially healthy life. Successful treatment will empower the patient to go forward better equipped to face the many challenges of life. Behavioral Health Therapists counsel individuals, families, couples or groups regarding psychological or emotional problems such as stress, substance abuse, or family situations and develops and implements therapeutic treatment plan in a clinic setting by performing the following duties.

Behavioral Health Therapist duties include but are not limited to:

• Interviews clients to obtain information concerning medical history or other pertinent information.
• Observes client to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior.
• IF employee is trained and certified, selects and administers various tests such as psychological tests, personality inventories,
• and intelligence quotient tests, to identify behavioral or personality traits and intelligence levels, and records results.
• IF employee is trained and certified, reviews results of tests to evaluate client needs.
• Plans and administers therapeutic treatment such as behavior modification and stress management therapy to assist patient in controlling disorders and other problems.
• Changes method and degree of therapy when indicated by client reactions.
• Discusses progress toward therapeutic goals with client.
• Consults with medical doctor or other specialists concerning treatment plan and amends plan as directed.
• Conducts therapy sessions.
• Refers client to additional services to supplement treatment and counseling.
• Documents the visit in the EMR in an accurate and timely manner.
• Participates in behavioral health quality improvement programs.
• This person must be able to respond to the needs of the community by being able to engage those seeking treatment whether in a clinic, school or remote based environment.

Requirements

• Wisconsin license required
• Bachelors Degree plus a Master Degree in counseling.
• LPC, LCSW, LMFT; Specific training/certifications may be required for certain types of therapy/assessment. Employees will not work outside of their scope of education and training.
• APSW, LPC-IT, LMFT-IT and CSAC encouraged to apply. (Salary will be commensurate with licensure and experience)
• CPR certification

In-Training License Annual Salary Range:

$55,000 - $61,000
