Work Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Summary :

This position is responsible for supervising the revenue cycle and administrative operations of Northern Light Lab services. This includes many aspects of departmental processes in accordance with regulatory and contractual obligations, ensuring proper claim presentation and charging/coding as it relates to any work performed by NLH lab partners (including Quest). Responsible for the creation of the operating budget of the department and expense variances. This position works directly with management to ensure the people, processes, and technology are in agreement with the functionality for an optimum revenue cycle workflow. In addition, this position is accountable that all responsibilities are in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws; including metrics related to productivity and quality. This position works closely with management in the revenue cycle within NLH to provide appropriate claims and AR resolution oversight and feedback that ensures Lab billing and administrative services are achieving required results

Responsibilities :

  • In collaboration with the Manager, maintain high quality employees by way of recruiting, selecting, orienting, hiring, and regularly assessing quality of work.
  • Ensure employees are adequately trained, supported, and coached for the development of the department and the individual’s professional growth.
  • Work closely with peers, lab personnel and other revenue cycle departments to address workflow issues or changes that directly impact the accounts receivable.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with Laboratory clients.
  • Provides payroll processing, PHI disclosure tracking, and CEU database maintenance.
  • Utilize systems to automate tasks as applicable
  • Ensure departmental procedures and performance standards are reviewed and updated
  • Advises management of issues which may require attention and provides appropriate recommendations.
  • Works collaboratively with others to ensure workflows are at the highest quality efficient levels.
  • Supervise and monitor the key performance indicators to identify trends and recommend solutions.
  • Assist in the development of team goals and objectives that adhere to the department and NLH’s financial performance objectives.
  • Provide key and relevant information to management for the fiscal month summary of changes in the accounts receivable.
  • Maintains personal knowledge base of current laboratory work: EMMC billed, client invoicing, third party payer, Dahl Chase billed and reference laboratories reconciliation.
  • Maintain the knowledge of Laboratory specific payer policies; attend local, regional, or national conferences/seminars to remain current.
  • Continuous process improvement for the department and workflow.
  • Demonstrate departmental desire to provide community benefits by way of charitable events or contribution outside the four walls of the department.
  • Help generate ideas for community service projects, employee engagement opportunities and client outreach.
