Northern Bank is Hiring a Compliance Analyst Near Woburn, MA

The Compliance Analyst will support the Bank’s Compliance Management Program second line efforts by assisting the Compliance Officer. Support the timely and accurate preparation of information provided for examinations and audits. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist the Compliance Officer with regulatory examinations and internal and/or external audit requests, including requesting information from the business lines, arranging logistics, coordinating meetings, facilitating communication; and developing responses
  • Review information collected to ensure completeness and accuracy. If issues are identified from review, escalate to the appropriate internal party
  • Assist the Compliance Officer in keeping abreast of consumer regulatory requirements related to deposit and lending operations and consumer laws and regulations
  • Assist the Compliance Officer to perform monitoring and testing of the various lending and deposit related laws and regulations
  • Assist with coordinating response efforts to consumer complaints, including but not limited to requesting supporting documentation, scheduling discussions with business unit and initial review of response efforts.
  • Ability to navigate, research and understand regulatory requirements and support any remediation efforts to ensure issues are resolved timely and appropriately.
  • Assist with updates on audit and examination results, issue remediation, emerging risks, regulatory trends, etc.
  • Ensure prior exam and findings are sufficiently addressed, review supervisory guidance/hot topics with management, review metrics and performance data, and ensure consistent message
  • Provide support in other Compliance related functions of the Bank as requested

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with consumer compliance laws, regulations within banking industry, and able to perform independent research
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
  • 3-5 years banking experience, compliance testing, risk management, examination and/or audit background preferred
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely, especially policies, procedures, and reports
  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • BA, BS or equivalent required; prior compliance, audit or regulatory examination experience a plus
