Description

The Staff Accountant, working under supervision of the General Accounting Manager, is responsible for all General Ledger activity. In addition, this position is responsible for all record keeping of all grants. This position supports Clinic operations as a whole.

• Prepares all journal entries needed to ensure that all financial activity is recorded in the accounting software.
• Reviews each month’s activity to look for expenses that need to be accrued.
• Prepares a report for presentation to the Board of Directors.
• Tracks all activity of grants that the Clinic is awarded.
• Prepares written documentation of all processes for all duties and keeps such up to date.

The Staff Accountant’s value to the Clinic is not that this individual is the only one who can perform the assigned duties, but rather that, as part of the team, duties are all accomplished in a timely manner to the benefit of the Clinic.

As a department of skilled individuals, the Fiscal department will often be called upon to help other Clinic departments as they have need for our exceptional talents. At the discretion of the Chief Financial Officer, the Staff Accountant will be called upon to assist on other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

3- Five Years Experience in Accounting Required.
