Job Details

Job Type/Hours: FT, 40 Hrs. per week, schedule is based on the program and client needs.

Available Shifts: M-F, every other weekend. 12:00 am 8:00 am, 8:00 am 4:00 pm, 4:00 pm 12:00 am 

Note: 24/7 Location 

Job Description: As a full member of Northeast treatment Center's (NET) Addiction Recovery Division, the peer support staff provide hope encouragement and recovery support to individuals with a range of behavioral health challenges. A residential manager/ peer specialist draws on their unique lived experience to engage and connect individuals with local behavioral health, recovery and community services of their choosing. The Residential Manager works closely with program staff, clinicians, social workers, and outreach staff. This position is located at an all male transition facility.

Minimum Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 3 letters of recommendation 
  • Must have worked within the last 3 years with at least 12 months of part or full time paid or voluntary work experience 
  • Ability to use a Electronic Health record 
  • The Peer Specialist must demonstrate the ability to share personal recovery experiences and support a service user integration into the communities of his/her choice. 
  • Ability to exhibit a nonjudgement approach and to be an effective listener. Must be able to work with service users who are diverse, including diversity of age, gender and gender identity, race religion, sexual orientation, physical and mental ability. 
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Clearance and a Criminal Background Check 
  • Pre-employment Physical and TB test
  • Reliable Transportation; You may be required to use your personal vehicle when other means of transportation are unavailable. 
  • Must demonstrate genuine Empathy and concern for individuals as indicated in our corporate vision, mission and value statements.
  • Adhere to applicable city, county, state and federal laws and regulations, internal and CARF standards.

The Northeast Treatment Center founded in 1970 is one of the largest behavioral health and social service agencies is in the Philadelphia Region. Services are offered at 15 sites throughout Greater Philadelphia, the Lehigh Valley, and the state of Delaware.

NET Centers (NET) offers support and hope to individuals and families at times of great stress in their lives. A nonprofit agency, NET provides a continuum of trauma informed behavioral health and social services designed to meet complex needs of all family members. These include mental health, addiction treatment, foster care, residential group care, adoption, juvenile justice services and child welfare services.
