NGHS is currently seeking a Security Officer (Armed) for our Security team at our Gainesville Campus.

Full Time; Shifts Vary

Job Summary: Performs various security related duties to ensure the safety of hospital patients, visitors and staff. Responds to all incidents of disruptive/assaultive individuals, investigates reports of suspicious activity and performs customer service functions as described by policy/procedures. Armed Security Officers will perform facility and grounds patrols and inspections. Officers will report their daily activities in a log and/or incident reports; and conduct other duties assigned by the Security Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School/GED required.
• Valid GA Driver’s License.
• BLS Certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in either Military, police, corrections, or private security background.

Physical Demands

• Frequently lifting up to 100 lbs
• Frequently carrying up to 100 lbs
• Frequently kneeling/stooping/bending
• Constantly standing/walking
• Frequently pushing/pulling
• Constant intensive work, requires reading, writing, reasoning, driving, & talking
