Northbay Maintenance Inc. is Hiring a Remote Talent Acquisition Manager

Overview:

Critical Control’s mission is to help people regain control in their most critical times of need. We specialize in helping remediate buildings and homes that have been damaged by water, fire, mold and other environmental problems. Our family owned and operated company is headquartered in Petaluma, CA but has a traveling team that services the entire country in catastrophe situations such as hurricanes, earthquakes and wildfires.

We are growing incredibly fast, opening up 1 additional location with 2 more locations planned for 2023. With the growth comes a need for a steady stream of top notch talent to support our world class operation.

We are seeking a high functioning Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our recruitment forward.

In this role, the Talent Acquisition Manager will implement and manage talent acquisition strategies and processes to proactively build and maintain a quality talent pipeline. This will be achieved by sourcing passive and active candidates. Provides leadership, support, advocacy and vision to talent acquisition specialists who provide recruiting support to hiring managers.

Responsibilities:

Manages workforce planning, sourcing and candidate selection and placement process within the organization. Analyzes current and future organizational workforce needs and implements plans to ensure quality staffing continuity. Understands external labor market conditions and establishes networks to build relationships with candidates, agencies, schools, and associations and attract diverse quality talent. Implements a consistent job profiling and candidate selection process to identify potential placement and fit.

Job Profiling/Talent Sourcing

  • Designs job descriptions / position profiles in partnership with hiring managers
  • Consistently implements the conduct of a hiring manager intake meeting for all talent acquisition specialists to follow
  • Provides data for yearly review of entry level pay for critical regions and positions
  • Helps prepare job offer and employment contracts
  • Designs job descriptions / position profiles in partnership with hiring managers
  • Develops creative sourcing strategies in partnership with People Business Managers per region/ state
  • Develops new strategies and programs to attract candidates.
  • Monitors and evaluates services of third party service providers (headhunters and temp staffing agencies) based on established guidelines and expectations
  • Negotiate and accredit additional third party partners to strengthen talent pool source
  • Assists in executive talent acquisition
  • Provides advice to hiring managers on candidate evaluation and selection
  • Provides data for yearly review of entry level pay for critical regions and positions
  • Candidate Screening and Selection
  • Manages the consistent implementation of the screening and selection process across all hiring requirements
  • Mediate between benefits providers and employees, such as by assisting in handling employees' benefits-related questions or taking suggestions.
  • In coordination with the People Business Manager and the Hiring Manager, select candidates based on pre-agreed criteria and qualifications
  • Provides advice to hiring managers on candidate evaluation and selection

Workforce Planning

  • Designs and participates in the formulation and regular review of the company’s annual workforce planning
  • Review and evaluate current workforce plan and recommend a framework for headcount planning and approval
  • Analyze the business context and environment to identify
  • Define the current workforce profile and the future workforce requirements
  • Analyze and recommend talent strategy to fill gaps
  • Develop a talent pipeline to be the source of career progression for both branches and sales

Candidate Placement

  • Fills senior-level positions
  • Submits candidate profiles
  • Conducts salary negotiation and secures job offer acceptance from selected candidates
  • Ensures all pre-employment requirements are met prior to on-boarding new hires
  • Fulfill all company reporting requirements including all relevant government rules and regulations
  • Provides regular status reports based on agreed metrics

Training of Hiring Managers

  • Trains hiring managers on competency-based selection process and interpretation of screening results
  • Facilitates panel interviews

Policy Development and Maintenance

  • Develops, reviews and updates policies and procedures on talent acquisition to ensure that processes are current, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements while meeting company objectives
  • Responsible for the communication of any changes in policy
  • Manage the design and development of tools to assist employees in internal job applications and to guide managers in selection and hiring decisions.

HR Budget and Administration

  • Allocates annual talent acquisition budget based on forecasted and approved headcount
  • Provides annual budget for all talent acquisition-related programs, plans and activities

Work Direction and People Development

  • Plans and directs the work of direct reports to ensure achievement of department objectives
  • Conducts weekly check-in meetings with direct reports to ensure alignment and support teamwork
  • Monitors conformance of team to set policies, procedures and guidelines, and implements appropriate action in case of non-conformance
  • Completes the annual performance management process
  • Identifies individual training needs and recommends appropriate development plans

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years experience in leading the Recruitment/ Talent Acquisition function
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel, ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels in the organization.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • More than 5 years leading the talent acquisition/ recruitment function acquired from the same industry with at least 500 employees.
  • Experienced in full cycle talent acquisition management
